My forums and messages



My forums and messages menu allows you to view your messages and interact with other users and user groups of the platform. It is also in this menu that you will be able to see the notifications of the platform and other messages sent to you.


The bell icon situated on the top right corner of the Lära LMS platform shows you an overview of the messages. By clicking on a notification in the bell icon zone, you will be forwarded to My forums and messages menu to open the full message.


Messages

This zone lets you consult all the messages(notifications) sent to you.


The various messages will be shown on the left side of the menu in a descending order(Most recent to oldest) and you will be able to read their content by clicking on each of them. When the message has been opened, the title of the message become unbolded.


On the top right corner of the active message, three icons allows you to manage the message:

  • An eye, to indicate if the message has been seen or not.
  • A trash can, to delete the message.
  • The options, allows you to mark the message as seen or not seen and to delete the message.


Discussions

This zone allows you to consult or start discussions with one or many users.


The various discussions created will be shown on the left side of the menu in a descending order (Most recent to oldest) and you will be able to read their content by clicking on each of them. If there is a new message in one of your discussions, a notification bubble will appear besides the discussion name to notify how many messages have not been seen yet. 


On the top right corner of the discussion, 2 icons are seen and can be use to manage the discussion:

  • A user icon, allowing you to add users to the discussion.
  • The options, allows you to add users to the discussion, rename the discussion or quit the discussion.

Forums

In this zone you will be able to access all forums available to you. These forums let you communicate with all users from a same courses/events or sessions you are in.


The forums are categorized by course/event, in the forum zone you can click on the desired course/event which will show you the available forums of the course/event.


Note that there can be multiple forums for a course/event.
